L & A MUSIC

Andrew Avitabile Co-Founder / Composer / Sound Designer: has been composing music, creating sound design and mixing film and television for the past 10 years. Prior to joining Broadway Sound and Showtime Networks Andrew worked out of several audio post facilitles in New York City as well as mixing in-house for NBC Universal / USA Network / Syfy Channel. Andrew began studying classical piano at the age of three and journeyed into keyboards and digital audio production in junior high school. Performing both piano and saxophone in his high school band under the tutelage of Nino Moreale, Andrew also played in the Staten Island Boro-wide symphony culminating in an exciting perfomance at New York City's famed Carnegie Hall. Andrew attended The State University of New York at Buffalo where he studied Afro-Latin Percussion and helped spark the dance-music scene, transitioning Buffalo away from its rock music dominance. After many gigs and graduating with honors, Andrew began working as an advertising account executive in charge of broadcast production. While supervising audio mix sessions, Andrew realized that his true calling was to leap out from behind the client desk and to get behind the mixing console.
